Keep Your Ears Young

Today I picked up a copy of the Band of Gypsys - Live at the Filmore East. Music I've known since the age of about 14. Some of it half forgotten, viscerally remembered. If I had to offer an explanation of why I don't work in a bank, this is it. Was there ever a sound that bypassed the brain so effectively and went straight for the solar plexus? Is there any anti-Iraq "war" music that has this kind of impact? Tell me if you know of anything.... I'll make a list.
